Mon planificateur quotidien

Canada became my home in 2008. Like many immigrants who started from scratch, my first job was as a nanny. It was a tough job, but I was grateful for the opportunity to work and support myself. I learned a lot about childcare and grew to love the children I cared for as if they were my own. It wasn't an easy start, but it was a start nonetheless. I moved to Toronto in 2012 with only 1000 dollars in my savings account. Still, with an unlimited amount of faith in myself, I invested in learning all about childcare and promoting emotional and physical well-being. And with hard work and determination, I was able to build a better life for myself. After working for well-heeled families for several years, I married and started my own family. And that’s when my journey really began. All my accumulated knowledge and certifications in hypnobirthing, prenatal and postpartum care, nutrition, you name it, played a huge role in having the most amazing prenatal, pregnancy, birthing and postpartum experiences. It took only one pregnancy to fall in love with the whole process. I decided to become a doula so I could empower and support other expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey. And from there, my journey in perinatal work took me to get certified as a childbirth educator and sleep consultant. It was a natural progression for me, as I wanted to be able to provide expecting parents with as much knowledge and support as possible. The childbirth education certification allowed me to teach classes all over Toronto on everything from pregnancy nutrition to the stages of labour, while the sleep consultant certification allowed me to offer guidance on how to establish healthy sleep habits for newborns and infants. I simply love coaching families to navigate parenthood's exciting and challenging world! While pregnant with my second child, I decided to complete my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. I mean, what was I going to do with all that free time during maternity leave, right? And even though it is still a slow but steady work in progress, one of my long-term goals is to fund community programs that address the unique health needs of underserved populations. Access to quality healthcare and education is a fundamental human right, and I am committed to doing my part to make this a reality for everyone. Whether through advocating for policy change, leading grassroots initiatives, or partnering with other organizations, I am determined to create a healthier, more equitable community for all. Then baby number three came! And again, with all that free time, I gave all my love and soul to fund my companies, The Doula That Could and The Sleep Consultant That Could. The Nanny That Could is a space that reminds me of my beginnings so I don’t lose sight of where I am going. It is also a space where I share all I have learned over more than 12 years of working with families and kids of all backgrounds and needs. From Ikea hacks to parenting tips, I covered it all. I hope you find this space inspiring, and I will leave you with my motto: “Any Time, Any Place, Anything; if you see it, you COULD too!
